WACHUSETT GARDEN CLUB
Seed Swap!! -- Thursday March 14th, 5:30-7pm Princeton Library.

Members of the Wachusett Garden Club, are hosting an informal seed swap at the Princeton Library (program room downstairs) on Thursday, March 14 from 5:30-7pm.

The seed swap idea is this: people bring their stashes of vegetable and/or flower seed to trade with others. You can bring any excess commercial seed you’ve over-purchased in the last year or two as well as any seed you've collected from your own gardens.

Please bring all seeds in packets labeled with the type, variety, and approximate date collected. Note that it's generally best practice to trade seed that’s no more than 2-3 years old, as seeds lose a percentage of their viability year-over-year. Less viable (e.g., older) seeds may still germinate, but at a lower rate, so more seeds may be needed. Seed viability depends on the type of seed as well as the conditions in which they’ve been stored.

We hope to see you at this informal neighborly swap! We'll trade seeds, chat about our setups and techniques, share tips, etc. This event is open all!!
