Feb 21st, 2023 Invasive insects Program
We had an educational presentation on invasive jumping worms and other invasive insects this Wednesday, Feb. 21, in the Fellowship Hall of the Princeton First Congregational Church. The program was open to members & guests. Information was provided on how to identify jumping worms, why they are a problem, methods of controlling them and preventing their spread. We received guidelines on digging up & preparing plants for our May plant sale, to reduce the risk of spreading the worms. This is particularly important as we head into spring and start buying and transplanting plants. We also touched on the identification, control and reporting on a few other key invasive insects.
