WACHUSETT GARDEN CLUB
Dear Garden Club Members and Guests,

On Wednesday, November 16th at 6:30 pm, we will have fun making a Decorative Fall Centerpiece for Thanksgiving out of various  Evergreens, with the addition of laurel, pachysandra, wintergreen, eumonyous and more at the Holden Municipal Light Company, 1 Holden St., Holden, MA.  There is no charge for this program.

  • HOLIDAY CENTERPIECE
Your hostesses will be Dot Odgren and Donna Caisse. Directions on how to make your centerpiece are included in the downloadable file below.

There are so many materials that you can add to your centerpiece to make it charming and a work of art for your home. You can even use the same ideas and add additional materials for a Christmas decoration.

Think about if you would like to add fruits, candles, ribbons, beads. There are a number of pictures for inspiration included for you to enjoy. We will provide some decorative items, greenery, twine  and floral wire. You may have special items you wish to bring for ribbons or decorations.

Please bring a pair of pruners, scissors, and wire cutters if you have them.

  • COOKIE SWAP-- A fun way of trying new cookies or bars, and bringing a variety of baked goods home for the holiday.

For those of you who would like to participate, you can make 3 dozen of your favorite cookies with your recipe and list of ingredients that are in the cookies. Place them by your container with the baked goods on the table.

We calculate how many cookies are made and how many people are present and each person can then pick samples from all of the cookies to bring home. Place them in a container to keep them together.  You can eat them or freeze them for Thanksgiving.

Individuals with allergies may decide not to participate.

We hope that this will be fun evening sharing camaraderie and creativity!

PLEASE RSVP to onlinewgc@yahoo.com by Nov. 13 if you plan to come to make a centerpiece and swap cookies. (This will allow us time to get the correct number of materials.)

Thank you so much,

Dot and Donna
