Bird Feeding Station Creation
On Wednesday, October 9, we held a program where participants created a bird feeding station using either an obelisk or a frame structure. During the event, we provided a variety of plants, including sunflowers, purple coneflowers, black-eyed Susans, anise hyssop, cranberry, viburnum, rose hips, and several other plant species, all chosen to attract and nourish local wildlife.
The program took place at the Norco Sportsman Club, located at 91 Houghton Rd. in Princeton, and began at 6:30 pm. It was a lively and enjoyable gathering, where attendees not only learned about bird feeding stations but also had the opportunity to craft their own. The final result was an aesthetically pleasing garden feature that would not only beautify their outdoor spaces but also provide a food source for a variety of animals, including birds, squirrels, chipmunks, turkeys, and more. Everyone left with a sense of accomplishment and a new way to support their local wildlife.
