The 2026 Veterans Memorial Garden Princeton
Below are some photos of the Veterans Memorial Garden — proof that even a little rain couldn’t dampen a wonderful day or the beauty of this special space!
Every year, dedicated members of the Garden Club, together with local community volunteers, come together to breathe new life into the garden. Through their generosity, they donate time, energy, and materials, working side by side to create a space that honors both our Veterans and the community as a whole. This annual tradition not only enhances the beauty of our surroundings, but also serves as a meaningful tribute to the sacrifices made by our Veterans while fostering a strong sense of unity, gratitude, and community pride.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the Memorial Planning Committee and the Garden Club members who helped prepare and bring the garden to life this year: JoEllen Quigley, Tom Hultzman, Carrie Phillips, Diane Hobbs, Pamela Hill, Ruth Crowley, Lezli Lee, and Dot Odgren.
Special appreciation goes to JoEllen and Carrie for lovingly overwintering and planting the cannas, whose bold height, vibrant foliage, and graceful presence provide beautiful structure and character throughout the garden. Their dedication helps make this memorial space especially welcoming and memorable year after year.
Also, special thanks to Pamela Hill, who loves gardening and helps to make our Veteran's Garden more beautiful, bucket by bucket bringing loam and donated mulch from Clear Summit in Lancaster, Ma.
Together, these efforts ensure that the Veterans Memorial Garden remains not only a beautiful centerpiece on the Common, but also a living tribute filled with care, remembrance, and community spirit.
